Protronica represents the Escatec Group, a Swiss owned Electronics Manufacturing Services company with its headquarters in Malaysia and main manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, Singapore and Switzerland.

Through its relationship with Escatec, Protronica provides electronic products and subassemblies for companies whose products--and product launches--must work right every time—without exception.

A history of EMS expertise

2005 Firm expands its tool making capacity into China with a new facility in Xinzhuang, Shanghai.
2004 Full TS16949 certification granted in December 2004 to Penang facility.
2003 Acquired Wiltronic AG in Switzerland from Leica, adding electronic R&D, design, NPI and test capabilities to the Group.
2002 Achieved QS9000 and QS14001 certifications achieved in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
2000 Plastic Injection Molding facility started in Penang.
QS 9000 and ISO 14001 certifications achieved in Penang facility.
1999 Fourth factory established in Bintan, Indonesia.
Electronic Design Services started in Penang factory.
1992 Start of automated Surface Mount Technology and Chip On Board production in firm's factories.
1991 ISO 9001 Certification in Singapore operations.
ISO 9002 in all other factories.
1990 Started high volume, vertically integrated Mechatronic production Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
1987 Vertical integration for the production of plastic and metal parts, tool design and tool making in Singapore.
1983 Second company founded in Penang, Malaysia as a low-cost, full service contract electronic manufacturing company.
1974 Protronica's EMS firm founded in Singapore mainly to produce electronic medical equipment, but soon followed by contract electronics manufacturing.
